John Laurie received his Baccalaureate degree from the University of Southern California in 1983, his law degree from Pepperdine University in 1986, and has been a practicing attorney since 1987. Mr. Laurie has extensive trial experience, and is well versed in handling civil cases such as collection matters, wrongful death, business litigation, personal injury, subrogation, contracts, school bullying, family law, etc. In the criminal sector, he has great experience handling matters ranging from traffic citations to felonies. In addition, Mr. Laurie has represented members of the armed forces in a variety of matters. Mr. Laurie firmly believes in representing his clients in a fair yet aggressive manner and a comprehensive understanding of the finesse needed to best support and address your legal needs.
Mr. Laurie is a member of the California State Guard and is a JAG (Judge Advocate General) and currently holds the rank of Captain. He has held several positions during his service including Deputy Chief of Legal Assistance and is currently assigned to the Office of the State Judge Advocate. Mr. Laurie has also served as a judge pro tem, arbitrator and mediator for the Los Angeles Superior court, and as an arbitrator for the San Fernando Valley Bar Association handling Attorney Fee Disputes. Mr. Laurie is involved in a wide variety of community activities.
